Data privacy at Armidus

Last updated: July 23, 2026

This page explains how Armidus approaches personal information for clinics, owners, and website visitors in plain language. It is an overview, not a legal contract.

For the binding notice, read the Privacy Policy.

Privacy built around clinic-defined care

Armidus is a post-visit operations platform for veterinary clinics. Clinics create and control aftercare plans. Owners receive clinic-issued instructions and check-ins. Armidus designs the Service so clinic, owner, and patient information stays scoped to the right clinic and regional environment.

Who this page is for

Pet owners with a request about a clinic-controlled record should usually start with that clinic. Armidus can help route privacy requests when appropriate.

When Armidus acts for a Clinic

For most Clinic Data, the Clinic decides why information is collected and how it is used in veterinary care. Armidus processes that information for the Clinic to provide the Service. Depending on applicable law, the Clinic is the controller, business, or organization, and Armidus is its processor, service provider, or data intermediary.

The Clinic remains responsible for its veterinary records, clinical decisions, owner communications, privacy notices, and lawful basis for providing Clinic Data to Armidus.

The Data Processing Addendum forms part of the Armidus Terms of Service whenever and to the extent Armidus processes Customer Personal Data on behalf of a Clinic.

When Armidus acts for itself

Armidus acts for itself for information needed to run the business and the website, including:

Armidus does not sell identifiable Clinic Data. Marketing systems used for clinic acquisition are not intended to become repositories for patient records or owner clinical content.

Regional environments and clinic separation

Each production country runs in a dedicated cloud environment with its own application services, database, and secrets. Regional patient and owner records are not synchronized or merged across countries.

Clinic staff access is organization- and clinic-scoped. Patient records belong to the clinic that created them and are not automatically merged across clinics. Pet owners receive access only after verified identity linking or a valid claim process, and can see only the patient records connected to their verified regional account.

Technical controls that support this posture are described on Security at Armidus.

AI assists structure. Clinics remain in control

Armidus may use AI to help structure clinic-provided aftercare information into candidate plan content for staff review. AI output is validated by the application and reviewed by clinic staff before being sent to an owner.

Armidus does not use AI to diagnose patients, prescribe treatment, or replace veterinary clinical judgment.
